What is English identity? … ‘Fair play and a sense of humour’ .. ‘dull but worthy’ ☺☺ It used to be that if we got our toes trodden on we then would have a somewhat terse response that we’re made of more than meets the eye, but that part of our ‘identity’ has now gone. Will we ever get it back? Who knows? Someone wrote recently that a great country needs a great leader. We have Nigel Farage.
